Tuesdays with Morrie Tuesdays with Morrie

– Mitch Albom

It is a personal belief of mine that the thoughts we take into our sleep are important for our proper rest. People who watch the news or television programs that show violence, hate and injustice take these thoughts into their sleep world.

My advice is, before going to sleep, read inspirational books. Books that celebrate the lives of those we admire or of those who teach us great lessons. Tuesdays with Morrie is a book that does both. I have read this book many times with each occasion bringing a new lesson.

The class of my old professor’s life took place once a week in his house, by a window in the study where he could watch a small hibiscus plant shed its pink leaves. The class met on Tuesdays. It began after breakfast. The subject was The Meaning of Life. It was taught from experience.

“Simple and easy to read, this is amongst my top five favorite books. I know you will enjoy it as well. Please tell me your thoughts about ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ on your next appointment at Life Chiropractic.”

The Biology of Belief

– Bruce H. Lipton

(Faculty member of the NZ School of Chiropractic)

This groundbreaking book gives us remarkable insight into the interaction between mind and body. Where previously we have always believed that genes and DNA solely control our biology, we are now beginning to understand the link between mind and matter that will have a profound effect on our personal lives.

“A fascinating book looking at the dynamics of DNA, our environment, and previously held false beliefs about how we influence our health. I recommend this book to everyone who wishes to understand how and what they do and think will affect the health of their very own cellular function.”
