Nicky is an OCNZ and ACC registered osteopath with an interest in providing treatment for the whole family, especially pregnant women and children.
After completing high school in Tauranga, Nicky moved to Auckland where she completed her Masters in Osteopathy over five years at Unitec. On completion of her training, Nicky came back to the BOP and worked for just over a year at a thriving Papamoa clinic, known for the treatment of babies and pregnant women. However, as Nicky’s now husband was still in Auckland, she moved back up where she worked in a busy Parnell clinic for five years. At the end of 2016, Nicky and her husband decided it was time to return home, and after hearing there was space at The Life Clinic, Nicky jumped at the opportunity to set up at such a great clinic.
Since completing her training, Nicky has done further study within osteopathy, including treatment of pregnant women, infants and children, breastfeeding and biodynamic osteopathy (a gentle form of treatment which focuses on the whole well-being of the person). On top of this, Nicky has also completed a year-long course for rehabilitative Pilates, with the world renown Polestar Pilates – a program designed for health-care practitioners.
